Emergency Evacuation & Housing FOR Los ANGELES FIRE SURVIVORS
Losing your home or being forced to evacuate is an incredibly difficult experience. As over 100,000 people have been issued evacuation orders, finding and paying for shelter can be even more arduous. Fortunately, there are several programs available to help survivors find temporary shelter.
Airbnb Housing Support:
Airbnb Housing Support Application HERE
- Airbnb.org, in collaboration with 211 LA, is offering free temporary housing for residents displaced or forced to evacuate due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles County.
- Update: Housing credits are currently exhausted, but all impacted by recent fires should still apply and will be begin the process to be put on the list for available housing match through Airbnb.

Food Assistance
- Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is working with its network of more than 600 partner agencies to assess needs during the SoCal wildfire emergency. If you need food assistance in Los Angeles County, check out this map to find food near you.
- Blaze Pizza will give away 11-inch pizzas for free, with options ranging from four cheese, pepperoni, Red Vine and Herbivore. Blaze is at 3210 Glendale Galleria, in Glendale.
Transportation
- Lyft Up Disaster Response Program is offering two rides up to $25 each ($50 total) for Los Angeles residents impacted by wildfires. Use code CAFIRERELIEF25 now through Jan. 15 at 11:59 p.m.
- Uber: Evacuees can redeem a free Uber ride up to $40 by applying the promo code “WILDFIRE25” in the Wallet section of their Uber app before requesting a ride to a designated shelter location.
- Veo: micromobility is providing free trips up to $10 to all riders in Santa Monica, as well as an additional $5 discount for anyone riding to the designated Evacuation Shelter at the Westwood Recreation Center. All unlock fees are waived throughout Santa Monica. Use promo code SAFE25.
- Culver City Toyota: Culver City Toyota is giving free rental cars to people affected by the LA-area fires with lost home and vehicles on a first-come, first-served basis while the supply of rental cars lasts. Mutual Aid LA Network (MALAN)
- A connector and information hub for mutual aid efforts, people and resources across Los Angeles. Use due diligence in checking these resources. Find LA Fire Mutual Aid Resources on a Google Map and Instagram.
Planet Fitness
- The gym chain is providing access to showers and its facilities at no cost to firefighters and residents displaced by fires. A gym membership is not required to access the facilities participating. For information and hours of operation, see planetfitness.com/gyms.
LA Dream Center
- The Los Angeles-based community organization LA Dream Center (213)-273-7000 is serving as an evacuation center for residents forced to leave their homes due to the fires. Supplying food, clothing and toiletries.
Teladoc Non-Emergency Medical 24/7 Support
- The virtual medical service Teladoc is providing free 24/7 virtual medical care from licensed healthcare professionals for any non-emergency illness by calling Teladoc Health directly at 855-225-5032. Additionally, those who may need help with authorization for non-narcotic drugs can also get assistance. The free services are for first responders, Southern California residents and anyone else who may be affected by the fires.

Take Care of Yourself
Disasters are an upsetting experience for everyone involved. It’s normal to have a lot of feelings. When we experience a disaster or other stressful life event, we can have a variety of reactions, all of which can be common responses to difficult situations. Try to accept whatever reactions you may have. Eat healthy food and get enough sleep to help you deal with stress.
