Domenic Martini, Counsel of Singleton Schreiber was featured on CBS8 regarding his recent efforts of helping another 700 people file lawsuits against the city of San Diego, alleging that poor maintenance of storm drains led to severe flooding which damaged hundreds of homes in January. The plaintiffs claim the city diverted resources to wealthier areas instead of investing in flood prevention in poorer neighborhoods.

Martini stated, “The city's got a pattern and practice of taking a look at these areas of south San Diego that tend to be poorer, right?  And diverting the funds and the resources away from those areas to the tourist areas, the beaches, La Jolla...”

The lawsuits are expected to be combined, with a hearing scheduled for October 11.
