Knut Johnson, Senior Counsel of Singleton Schreiber, was recently featured in a Daily Journal article titled "Lawsuit Filed Over Moss Landing Battery Fire's Toxic Impact" for his involvement in representing plaintiffs impacted by the disaster. The lawsuit, filed in Alameda County Superior Court, alleges that multiple defendants, including Vistra Corp, PG&E, and LG Energy, are responsible for the January 16, 2025, lithium-ion battery fire that burned for five days, releasing toxic smoke and causing widespread health and environmental harm. Plaintiffs claim the defendants used unstable battery technology, stored it improperly, and failed to warn the public, leading to evacuations, school closures, and economic disruptions.
