Northern NM fire victims will be spared additional taxes under provision approved by Legislature

Brian Colón, managing partner at Singleton Schreiber in New Mexico and former state auditor, was recently featured in a Source NM article, "Northern NM fire victims will be spared additional taxes under provision approved by Legislature" on March 1st, 2024. Colón noted that the legislation would spare those who hired attorneys from having to pay extra gross receipts taxes on compensation-related legal services, expressed support for the provision, and that the provision addresses an issue of fairness.
