Press Release

Singleton Schreiber is pleased to announce that Kimberly Trimble has been named as the newest Partner in the San Diego office.

Kim is Singleton Schreiber’s lead Civil Rights attorney and will lead the firm’s Civil Rights Practice Group. She was part of the trial team that obtained a record setting $85 million verdict against the County of San Diego for the 2015 wrongful death of Lucky Phounsy. The Daily Journal recognized it as one of the most significant verdicts in California in 2022. Kim’s practice focuses on representing individuals who have been injured or killed by law enforcement.

Prior to joining Singleton Schreiber, Kim was a trial and appellate attorney at Federal Defenders of San Diego for nearly a decade. She has successfully tried numerous cases in federal district court and has had several oral arguments before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

"Kim's unwavering dedication to advocating for clients sets her apart and we’re pleased to welcome her into the Singleton Schreiber partnership" shared Gerald Singleton, managing partner of Singleton Schreiber. "This promotion is a natural progression, as Kim is not only an invaluable asset to the firm but also a mentor to her colleagues. We are very pleased to have her as a partner and look forward to continuing to work together."

"I am honored to be named partner at Singleton Schreiber. It's a testament to the trust placed in me by the firm and our clients,” said Kim. “I look forward to upholding our commitment to delivering exceptional legal services and advocating tirelessly for our clients' rights and interests."

Kim attended American University Washington College of Law where she was an active member of WCL Moot Court Honor Society and American University Law Review. After graduation, she served as a law clerk for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in Alexandria, VA for one year, followed by a one-year judicial clerkship for the Honorable Dolores K. Sloviter in the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in Philadelphia, PA.
