Andrea Russell

Andrea Russell is Counsel at Singleton Schreiber’s San Diego office and oversees the firm’s settlement team. With a comprehensive background in civil and trial litigation, Ms. Russell brings years of experience in various practice areas, including business and commercial litigation, professional liability, personal injury, and insurance defense. Her expertise spans from representing both defendants and plaintiffs to handling all stages of litigation. 

She started her legal career focused on insurance defense and product liability and in 2011, transitioned to handling complex business, commercial, and civil litigation cases where she was quickly promoted to partner. In 2016, she founded her own practice, focusing on corporate defense and personal injury cases. 

Ms. Russell received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, with a double major in Mass Communication and Sociology. She earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she graduated with multiple honors, including the Academic Achievement Award in Legal Writing, Research, and Contracts. During law school, she gained valuable experience as a judicial extern to the Honorable Louisa S. Porter of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California and interned for the U.S. Attorney’s Office Civil Division. 

Ms. Russell has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including SD Business Journal’s “Best of the Bar” and San Diego Magazine’s Top Lawyers List.  She was recognized as one of Southern California's Top AV Rated Lawyer from Martindale-Hubbell. The San Diego Daily Transcript named Ms. Russell a Top Young Attorney finalist two years in a row and a 2013 Top Attorney nominee for corporate litigation. She remains an AV Preeminent Rated Lawyer from Martindale-Hubbell with an impressive 4.9 of 5.0 Peer Review Rating. 

She is an active member of the legal community, having served as a past chair of the Civil Litigation Section of the San Diego County Bar Association. She has also been a member of various prestigious organizations, including the American Inns of Court—Louis M. Welsh Chapter, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, the La Jolla Bar Association, and Lawyers Club of San Diego. She has contributed numerous times to the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego legal publication, “Trial Bar News.” She has been recognized as one of San Diego’s Top Lawyers, a Best of the Bar honoree, and an AV Preeminent-rated lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Russell had a career in sports broadcasting and media.   

Outside of her legal work, Andrea actively volunteers with her local public school’s non-profit foundation and school groups.  She is also the San Diego Unified School District’s La Jolla Cluster Parent Representative.  Andrea also enjoys cheering on her favorite sports teams, traveling, and spending time with her family—her husband, son, and their Bernese Mountain Doodle in San Diego.
