Overview
Kristen Miller joined Singleton Schreiber with a background in law, education and non-profit. Each step of Ms. Miller’s diverse career has been motivated by her passions for policy, advocacy and social justice.
After graduating cum laude from University of California, Santa Cruz, with a major in Modern Literature, Ms. Miller obtained her law degree from California Western School of Law, where she was a recipient of their Creative Problem-Solving Scholarship. Throughout law school, Ms. Miller focused her academic pursuits on civil rights and public interest law. She interned with the dependency section of the Public Defender, where she assisted in the representation of children in foster care. Ms. Miller also holds a master’s degree in Educational Policy from Loyola Marymount University, which she obtained while teaching high school English and Speech and Debate in South Los Angeles through Teach for America. Inspired by her work with the Public Defender, Ms. Miller focused her research and thesis on educational outcomes for foster youth, as well as racial disparities in our educational and legal systems. Ms. Miller has continued her passion for empowering foster youth as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).
Ms. Miller has extensive civil litigation experience and has specialized in a broad array of practice areas, including civil rights, medical malpractice, wrongful death, business and intellectual property law. She is admitted in California state courts.
As a member of the Singleton Schreiber team, Ms. Miller is thrilled to have the opportunity to help tort victims recover from their devastating losses. She works with the belief that legal advocacy can have a broader impact on how companies and institutions operate, advancing the public interest as-a-whole.
