Overview

Laura Wilson is an Associate Attorney in the Denver office at Singleton Schreiber and brings her unwavering dedication to advocating for clients in every case she handles. Laura focuses on personal injury claims and environmental law property damages, giving each case the special attention needed to provide the best outcome possible for each client.  

Before Singleton Schreiber, Ms. Wilson served as Deputy District Attorney at the Jefferson County DA's Office. In her role as Deputy DA, Laura handled diverse cases, including traffic, DUI, child abuse, domestic violence, and hate crimes, with around 30 jury trials over two years. Transitioning to plaintiffs' personal injury law for three years at Dan Caplis Law Firm, LLC and Kane Dulin McQuinn Young, LLP, she participated in three civil trials in Adams, Denver, and Clear Creek Counties, specializing in motor vehicle crashes, slip and falls, premises liability, and wrongful death cases, contributing to verdicts and settlements exceeding $35 million. 

Recognized as a National Trial Lawyers Top 40 under 40 Civil Plaintiff Attorney in December 2023, Ms. Wilson remains dedicated to advocating for victims at Singleton and Schreiber. 

Prior to law school, Ms. Wilson worked as a litigation paralegal at Weitz & Luxenburg, P.C., a large plaintiffs’ firm in New York City. During that time, Ms. Wilson helped win multiple asbestos-related trial verdicts totaling over $31 million. Ms. Wilson attended law school at Denver University Sturm College of Law where she received a merit-based scholarship. She received her Juris Doctor in December 2018. Ms. Wilson graduated with a bachelor’s in Public Affairs at Baruch College in New York City in 2013 where she received several awards.  

During her time at the Sturm College of Law, Ms. Wilson was recognized as a “Best Advocate” as well as a semi-finalist in multiple mock trial competitions. She also interned at the Jefferson County DA's Office, then practiced law under Colorado's Student Practice Act, representing petitioners in civil protection order hearings and handling negotiations for wrongful evictions of disabled persons at the Sturm College of Law Civil Litigation Clinic. She was admitted to the Colorado State Bar in May 2019.
