Overview

Marianna Sarkisyan serves as Counsel in the Denver office of Singleton Schreiber and is a member of the firm’s Environmental Litigation practice group. Marianna has an extensive background in environmental, land use and administrative law, and is a seasoned litigator.

Marianna has over a decade of experience as an environmental litigation attorney. Prior to her current role, Marianna held several significant positions, including Assistant Deputy General Counsel at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, where she oversaw litigation across multiple regulatory districts. In addition to managing a team of litigation attorneys, she personally represented the Agency in complex and high-profile environmental cases before Florida’s administrative, state and appellate courts. She also served as a Senior Litigation Attorney at both the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the South Florida Water Management District, where she litigated high-profile cases and provided guidance on environmental permitting and enforcement matters. Most recently, she served as a Senior Associate County Attorney for the Palm Beach County Attorney’s Office, where she represented the County in complex litigation in all levels of state and federal courts, with a focus on land use and environmental law.

Marianna is board-certified in State and Federal Administrative Practice and Government Law by the Florida Bar. Board certification is the gold standard for Florida lawyers, representing a recognition by the lawyers’ peers that they have attained a level of professional expertise in their chosen field. In Florida, only less than 6% of all lawyers are board-certified specialists.

Marianna’s legal journey began at Florida State University College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2008. During law school, she was actively involved in several law journals, including the Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law, the Journal of Transnational Law & Policy, and the Business Law Review. She served as Articles & Notes Editor for both the Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law and for the Journal of Transnational Law & Policy.

Marianna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University, where she majored in English and American Literature and Philosophy, with a minor in Russian Literature & Language.

Marianna is licensed to practice law in Colorado, Massachusetts, and Florida. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association.

Fluent in Russian, Marianna is an avid cyclist, hiker, and outdoor enthusiast. Her diverse experiences and dedication to her field make her a distinguished attorney committed to excellence in legal practice.
