Matt Clendenin is Counsel at Singleton Schreiber and his practice focuses on representing personal injury victims. He’s obtained significant results for his clients, resulting in numerous awards and recognitions from his peers.
In 2022, Mr. Clendenin was recognized as an award-winning trial lawyer by the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego (CASD.org) with the “Street Fighter” trial lawyer award.
From 2018 to the present, he has been selected as a “Rising Star” Lawyer under 40 with Super Lawyers, an award given to just 2.5% of attorneys. In 2015, Mr. Clendenin was selected “Best of the Bar” by the San Diego Business Journal.
Professional organizations within the legal community are also very important to Mr. Clendenin as he currently serves as the President for the Irish American Bar Association’s board of directors and as a board member with the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego (CASD). He received a “Master’s” level graduate from Don Keenan’s Trial Institute. Formerly, he was an instructor for the Keenan Trial Institute. The Keenan Trial Institute teaches lawyers how to best prepare for trial, maximize a victim’s recovery, and defeat the insurance industry.
Mr. Clendenin attended law school at Santa Clara University in the Bay Area, where he received many awards and accolades such as “Best Oral Advocate” of the Santa Clara’s Moot Court Competition. During law school, he also studied oral argument with barristers at the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn of Court in London, England as well as a pupilage at Magdalen College, Oxford.
Matt recently celebrated his 15th year anniversary with his wonderful wife Marta Clendenin. He loves their 6-year-old daughter Noemi, their 3-year-old daughter Lucie, and their new boxer puppy “Bruce”. Outside of the office, his passions include darts, cycling, board games, and good company.
