Orange County Oil Spill

Singleton Schreiber is currently taking class action claims in our Orange County oil spill lawsuit.

On October 2, 2021, a pipeline owned by Amplify Energy spilled up to 131,000 gallons of oil into the coastal waters of Orange County near Huntington Beach. Some of the oil made its way as far south as San Diego. Several industries were affected by the Orange County oil spill, which also had a devastating effect on the health and livelihood of residents who are exposed to harmful toxins and vapors. The long-term effects of the spill could be devastating.

El Segundo Sewage Spill

On July 11, 2021, after a power outage caused a shutdown at the Hyperion Water Treatment Plant in El Segundo, an overflow triggered an emergency discharge of over 17 million gallons of raw sewage just one mile off the coast. Four miles of Los Angeles beaches were closed due to high bacteria levels.

Victims can file Bacterial Infections Claims if illnesses from bacteria in the water were contracted, or Nuisance Claims, if the enjoyment of their homes was affected by the odor caused by the sewage spill.

If You’ve Been Affected by a Toxic Tort, Contact Our Lawyers Today

Singleton Schreiber's attorneys are experts in environmental torts. While similar to class action lawsuits, mass tort lawsuits don’t need individual participation from individuals — instead, the named plaintiffs are represented by a “lead counsel,” who pursues the case for the entire class of victims. Anyone who is affected does not need to participate until a settlement is reached or a jury award is granted. Class members can also opt out before funds are distributed.

If you’ve been the victim of an environmental tort, the toxic tort attorneys at Singleton Schreiber are here for you. Our toxic tort lawyers fight negligent corporations on behalf of everyday people. We will fight for you! Contact us today for a free consultation.
