Srinivas Hanumadass, Counsel at Singleton Schreiber focuses on single event, catastrophic personal injury cases. Known by “Vas” by all, he is honored each and every time someone asks him to be their voice and takes that moral and legal responsibility seriously.
After spending years as a defense attorney, Mr. Hanumadass became a plaintiff’s attorney in 2015. He worked in San Diego and became a partner at a well-respected personal injury firm, attaining several multi-million dollar results. He then joined a prestigious plaintiff’s firm in Los Angeles before returning to San Diego at Singleton Schreiber.
Recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer every year since 2017, Mr. Hanumadass actively participates as a leader in the legal community and beyond. He served two terms as president of the South Asian Bar Association of San Diego, one term as vice president of the San Diego County Bar Association, and was past Scholarship Committee Chair of the Lawyers Club of San Diego, whose mission is to promote women in the law and society. He is a current Board member of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) and active member in the American Association for Justice (AAJ). Mr. Hanumadass is one of few attorneys to be selected to participate in the Leadership Academies of both CAOC and AAJ.
Mr. Hanumadass earned a J.D., cum laude, from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he was a member of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review and a fellow at the Center for Global Legal Studies. In 2018, Mr. Hanumadass received the “Outstanding Service to Community Award” from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law (TJSL) Alumni Association.
Mr. Hanumadass believes in the old adages of his high school cross-country coach, Mr. Newton, who taught him, “while it’s nice to be great, it’s great to be nice” and “the greatest thing in life is not in never having fallen, but in rising up again.” Pursuing justice on behalf his clients and living up to Mr. Newton’s creed gives Vas a driving sense of purpose to do his very best.
In his free time, Mr. Hanumadass loves attending live music concerts, theatre and variety performances. As a born and bred Chicagoan, he lives and dies with his hometown sports teams and his college team, the Wisconsin Badgers.
